"Of course he has," Steve said, kissing him back.

Tony held on a little tighter at that. "Maybe next time we go out of town for these things."

Steve laughed and let Tony cling. "I don't think they send invitations about it."

"Inconsiderate," Tony said with a laugh that sounded still on this side of brittle to anyone who knew him well enough.

"Let's go find someplace more comfortable to sit," Steve suggested.

If he thought Tony would let go of his hand, he'd be wrong. At least not just yet.

"Alright," he agreed.

Steve didn't expect him too, which was why he was leading them towards the room with the comfortable sofa.

"You can pick the movie, too."

"That one movie in Canada, but they said it was Iowa?" Look, the romcoms had become soothing.

"With the secret prince!" Steve grinned. "Perfect."

"It's ridiculous." And Tony actually kind of loved it.

"You love how ridiculous it is," Steve said.

"I enjoy the absurdity." Totally different.

"It's very absurd," Steve agreed with a grin. This time they might actually see some of it!

And just do some clinging. Some perfectly reasonable clinging.

"The lack of a security detail is the most egregious part," Tony informed him. Helpfully.

"And not the accent?" Steve asked with a smile as they settled onto the sofa. "JARVIS, could you get us double the regular Chinese food order, please?"

He was betting that Tony hadn't eaten non-smoothies in a bit.

...rude, but accurate.

Tony leaned in to kiss him for that. Because Steve knew him too well.

Steve curled his hand around Tony's cheek. "I love you," he murmured. "Still. Always."

Even with the suits.

"I love you too," Tony murmured back, keeping very close.

"I know you do," Steve said. "That's why you feel so badly."

Tony kissed him again because talking was for people who could express themselves in a mature, healthy fashion. Neither of which Tony was.

"I've got you," Steve murmured, kissing back and pulling Tony into his lap.

Was this using sex to gloss over things or just a reaffirmation of each other?

Time would tell.

Tony went along without hesitation, kissing him again and again like it could fix things.

Probably a 60/40 split?

Steve was just as eager to confirm Tony being all right with his own fingers. Old flashbacks had combined with new memories to give him some truly disturbing nightmares about Tony dying and it being his fault, and he need to check for himself.

Just the most fun nightmares ever!

"Can we?" Oh, that poor movie was never getting finished.

They'd watched the first part last time, maybe they'll catch the second half this time! It was almost like watching an entire movie!

"Of course we can," Steve murmured, pulling Tony's shirt off.
