So, Tony and Steve hadn't actually talked since everything. Mostly because Steve was busy resting and recovering and Tony was working. Things needed to be disposed of, structural damage repaired, possible financial changes arranged.

Normal, reasonable things!

He wasn't catastrophizing, you were catastrophizing. And just giving Steve time and space to process things. Yes. That was it exactly.

While in one of the rooms Steve didn't go into very often. It was fine.

Steve enjoyed it, though!

He gently yanked Tony's hair again. "Back to work."

Okay, now Tony did chuckle a little bit before moving where Steve pulled him, more than happy to give him what he needed at the moment.

Steve sighed softly. "God, I love you."

Tony made a pleased noise, taking his time when Steve went and said things like that. He'd been trying to help get him off, but now he was going to enjoy this once again.

Steve sank into the sensations again--it wasn't going to take long for him to get as close as he'd been.

It helped that Tony was happily allowing him to direct it as he clutched at Steve's hips tightly. He was going to end up needing a nice cup of tea once this was all over and done with, though.

Steve would feel a mix of guilty and smug about that! Mostly smug, though. He gave Tony a warning tug as his breath caught and grew shorter.

Smug would make Tony feel better about it, honestly.

Tony pressed down a little further than he was being pulled for that, eyes closed and tears forming from the strain, but he was committed here.

"Holy God," Steve moaned, watching Tony raptly just before he came.

Tony took a few moments to recover from that, pulling off with a little cough as he did his best to wipe his goatee clean from it. So maybe he'd gone a little overboard there. Just a little.

"Oh, sweetheart, you're a mess," Steve said with a little smile, pulling Tony off of the ground and back into his lap.

"You good?" Tony croaked, then cleaned his throat. It only helped a little.

"I'm good," Steve confirmed. "You're perfect."

He reached down to retrieve his shirt to wipe Tony's face off.

Tony beamed at that assessment. Because he was Tony Stark and adored praise, okay?

"Good."

Steve leaned in for a kiss. "Now it's your turn."

Tony hummed and kissed him back. "I'm great," he promised. "I really like when you lose control like that."

Steve's cheeks went pink. "I don't want to hurt you."

"Not hurt," Tony promised, still sounding hoarse. "I know you wouldn't."

"I appreciate your trust in me," Steve murmured, maneuvering Tony to lay back on the sofa.

Tony went along with it, but still pushed in for another kiss at that. It was something Steve needed. And he also needed.

"I'm not going anywhere," Steve soothed, kissing him back.

"Just checking in." And yes, also that.

"I have all of you laid out in front of me," Steve said, smiling. "I'm fantastic."

"You're too sweet," he murmured, bumping his forehead against Steve's.

"You deserve nice things, too," Steve murmured back, "and to get out of your head for a bit."
