So, Tony and Steve hadn't actually talked since everything. Mostly because Steve was busy resting and recovering and Tony was working. Things needed to be disposed of, structural damage repaired, possible financial changes arranged.

Normal, reasonable things!

He wasn't catastrophizing, you were catastrophizing. And just giving Steve time and space to process things. Yes. That was it exactly.

While in one of the rooms Steve didn't go into very often. It was fine.

Tony kissed him again, making sure to take his time in running his hands all along Steve's skin for any lingering marks.

Steve shivered but stayed still otherwise. He knew how important this was to Tony.

They both had, ah, some issues with losing people. Which made these things even more frenetic than they might normally end up.

Tony let out a shaky breath, resting his forehead against Steve's for the moment.

Steve wrapped him up in his arms, rocking slightly. "Still here."

Tony nodded, not quite trusting words at the moment. Only after he let that kind of sink in, he kissed Steve again.

Steve lingered in it, putting as much reassurance as he could into the kiss.

Tony relaxed into that kiss again, letting the kiss turn much sweeter again. "I love you."

"I love you, too," Steve said. "I'll keep saying it until you believe me."

"I'll get there," he replied. And by that point, it'd be Steve's turn!

What a fun cycle!

"I know you will," Steve said, tugging at Tony's shirt.

They'd gotten better about it, at least.

Tony smiled faintly and kissed him again before pulling back to tug his own shirt off.

"There you are," Steve said, kissing Tony's bare shoulder.

Tony really didn't think he deserved that sort of attention here, but was doing his best not to twitch at it.

Steve bit down, and not gently. "You're mine," he said quietly. "Flaws and all. I love you."

Tony clutched at Steve's arms at that, relaxing against him. "I'll hold you to that."

Hey, look at him getting there!

"Good," Steve said, working a bruise into Tony's skin.

"More of that," Tony groaned softly.

"Good pain," Steve murmured. "You aren't being punished."

Whether Tony believed that or not was out of Steve's hands.

He was... fifty percent there.

"Okay," Tony agreed faintly, running his fingers through Steve's hair. "Okay."

Steve let out a soft noise but wasn't going to suggest moving to their bedroom. Here seemed to be where Tony needed to be.

He moved his mouth up, sucking a bruise behind Tony's ear.

A bed would be the much better option here. And yet...

Tony sighed and tilted his head to let Steve keep that up, still running his hands all along Steve's scalp and neck and shoulders.

Steve's hands slid down to squeeze Tony's rear. Because he could.

Tony tightened his grip a little bit at that, pressing forward against Steve with a little sigh. It was safe to say that was welcome.

"What do you need, Tony?" Steve murmured.

"You. Just you," Tony replied without hesitation.
