Steve leaned in to kiss him, heedless of the mess. "I would love to."

"You can make it a little cooler," Steve said with a blush. "Don't want you gettin' hurt."

It had been an extremely long week, which was what Steve was blaming for how he felt tears springing to his eyes.

Shhh. Getting taken care of wasn't something he was used to submitting to willingly.

"I'm being absolutely ridiculous," Steve said from where he'd mashed his face into Tony's shoulder.

Steve hugged him tightly. "Glad you're here."

Steve shivered against him. "I know you do," he whispered back. "I'm so incredibly lucky."

Steve smiled, not entirely believing that but more than grateful that Tony did.

Yeah, Steve wasn't particularly proud of how his entire body had basically thrown up its hands and given up, but simple tasks were about all he was good for at the moment.

He turned the water on, then up to his preferred temperature of definitely-too-hot. The steam started rolling almost immediately. God, he loved the water heater in this place.

"That sounds amazing," Steve said, closing his eyes and tilting his head up into the spray. "Thank you."

"Sorry!" Steve apologized immediately, getting up under the water to protect Tony from boiling like a crab, then reaching for a wash cloth.

"I noticed that," Steve murmured, blushing.

"We'll remember," Steve declared, wiping at Tony's hair.

They totally wouldn't.
